The dining room ceiling of this San Francisco Victorian residence features an original chinoiserie composition. The design was based on a pair of antique vases in the room, their motifs — flowering branches, exotic birds, and delicate foliage — translated into a ceiling-scale composition suited to the elaborate plasterwork cornice below.

The ceiling appeared in the 2019 feature film The Last Black Man in San Francisco, directed by Joe Talbot.
