Copy of the "Colmar" Ruckers by Ioannes Ruckers, 1624. Copy made by Kevin Fryer, 1999.

The first harpsichord Adrian Card ever painted — a copy of the famous 1624 Ruckers instrument now in the Musée d'Unterlinden, Colmar.

The Colmar Ruckers is one of the most celebrated surviving Flemish harpsichords. This copy, built by Kevin Fryer in 1999, gave Adrian Card his first opportunity to work at the full scale of a historical instrument — painting the case, lid, and soundboard in period pigments on a craquelure black ground.
