Victorian Hall Ceiling Mural

An elaborate ornamental ceiling painted for a private residence in San Francisco's Mission District, combining scrolling foliage, classical ornament, and delicate floral details in a restrained palette of pale blue, sage green, and ochre.

Designed to complement the architectural setting and its monumental antique light fixture, the mural was painted in the studio and installed on site. The design is completely original, but inspired by period sources.

This mural was also done in my studio and later installed. Here it is on the wall in the studio before installation.
